What to Expect

The Nurpur Noon Adventure

The Nurpur Noon Adventure is a rare and romantic window into Pakistan’s storied past—where rural village life meets the grandeur of a colonial-era estate, and tradition is not only preserved but lived. Nestled in the heart of Punjab’s Salt Range, the ride takes you deep into a region shaped by centuries of history, across fields and rivers that demand both courage and stamina. It’s a journey of striking contrasts: wheat fields and mosques, marble terraces and open skies, hunting hounds and high tea.

You'll stay at the elegant Nurpur Estate, home to the Noon family for generations, where ancestral heritage is tangible in every room and every ride. This is not simply a visit—it’s an immersion. Over the course of the adventure, you’ll take on a three-day mobile tented safari, riding bold local horses across rugged country and the mighty Jhelum River. You’ll hunt with the legendary Peshawar Vale hounds, gallop across wild fields, and sleep under stars that have watched over this land for centuries. Dazzling, physical, and deeply rooted—this is a riding experience like no other.

Pakistan styling & packing tips

This ride calls for elegance, tradition, and grit. You’ll be actively hunting, cantering on uneven ground, jumping over ditches, and crossing challenging terrain—so dress for action, but never without refinement as there will be a few opportunities for dressy evenings in the Nurpur Noon extraordinary colonial era estate . Think classic English countryside with a Pakistani twist: long sleeves are essential both for sun and cultural respect, and natural fabrics like cotton and linen will keep you cool and comfortable in the dry heat.

Layering is key. A tailored gilet or structured waistcoat adds polish and practicality for long days in the saddle. For hunting days, consider investing in a traditional woolen Peshawar jacket—these beautifully crafted pieces are sourced and tailored in the Hindukush mountains and can be purchased locally. They add both warmth and authenticity to your look. Sturdy breeches, well-broken-in boots, and gloves for grip and dust are all musts. And while this is a working adventure, there’s room for a little ceremony too—this is, after all, a place where tradition lives on in style.
