MOROCCO | DESERT CAVALADE

What to Expect

Desert Cavalade Adventure

This safari lands you in the heart of the Saharan desert, where the vast orange sandscape acts as the perfect backdrop for an intrepid journey across the dunes.

This safari marked my total control of a super fast, forward horse. As I galloped over sand and cracked white earth under the blazing Moroccan sun, I felt the payoff for taking the reins of my own life, developing a skill and mastering it with confidence.

We cantered through hidden oases and flat expanses of unforgiving rocky or sandy terrain flanked by rugged peaks. When the trails opened up, the Barn-Arabian horses would peak to a gallop letting my adrenaline soar.

The magic of the rides was matched by the evenings spent in the kasbahs with traditional Moroccan meals, as the blood orange sky set over long, challenging days. More than any other, this safari saw me grow as a rider and a person. On the back of these lively stallions, total freedom transformed my nervous anticipation into a stronger sense of self.

If you want to find your passion in unexpected places, the Moroccan Cavalcade is for you.

Morocco styling & packing tips

The heat of Morocco—especially in the desert—can be intense, so we recommend packing light, breathable clothing in neutral earth tones that reflect the landscape. Think soft browns, sandy beiges, and olive greens. White is always a classic choice: it not only keeps you cool but also stands out beautifully against the red dunes and terracotta tones of the terrain, creating striking photos while blending effortlessly with any accessory palette.

Rather than relying on bold colors, lean into rich accents—burnt orange, clay, rust, or tobacco—to evoke the hues of the Moroccan earth.

Accessories are where your style can truly shine: a statement scarf or a well-worn belt in one of these tones can add depth without overwhelming your look.

The environment is hot and dry, so utility is just as important as style. Choose pieces with deep or secure pockets for carrying sunscreen, lip balm, or your phone. A Berber-style scarf or lightweight buff is a must—ideal for wrapping around your face when the wind kicks up dust or for shielding your neck from the sun while riding.
